Tribe was established as an independent charity in 2025 by a group of parents of autistic children and young adults. Together, we bring almost 20 years of experience volunteering to support local families.
Our purpose is to promote the health, wellbeing, care and education of autistic children and young adults, those on the diagnostic pathway, and their families and carers across the Ards and North Down area.
We are passionate about creating a safe, understanding environment where our members can thrive and be themselves. At Tribe, we offer a range of social groups and activities that allow children and young people to connect with their peers, socialise in a supportive setting, and develop new skills.
We also recognise the importance of supporting the wider family. Through Tribe, parents and siblings have opportunities to meet others, share experiences, exchange advice, and feel less isolated. By bringing families together, we help create a more positive and supportive home environment.
Tribe is also committed to promoting autism acceptance within the wider community and representing the voices of those affected by autism. We work closely with local organisations and partners to help create more autism-friendly experiences and opportunities for our members
